The Prizes
All cash proceeds benefit
cancer research and medically needy children in Cabo San Lucas. Trophies,
awards, certificates and prizes will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
place winners for the largest Blue and Black Marlin taken, most points in
releases and Dad's Trophy. This is a charity event. All prizes, raffle and
auction items are obtained through donations. If you have or know of items
to be donated, please contact The Pete Lopiccola Cancer Research
Foundation. All support is greatly appreciated. This event would not be
possible without your generosity.
The Cost
· Entry fee is $400.00 per
angler.
· A $50.00 discount will be given
to entries received by September 1st, 2005.
· Late entry fee at registration is
$450.00.
· Fees are inclusive of the Friday
night awards Banquet and, "For Pete's Sake" Goody Bag.
· For guest and non-fishermen who
only want to attend the Friday night awards Banquet, the cost is $60
(But registering as a fisherman is encouraged, after all we are doing this
for Charity).
The Catch
- Striped, Black and Blue
Marlin or Swoardfish of any size receives release points.
- Catch and release of
Billfish is manditory.
- Dad's Trophy will be awarded
for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place catch of the largest Tuna, Dorado, or Wahoo
in memory of Charles Faith, Jr. and Walton Nielson. These will
be weighed on the beach at the Hacienda and donated to local orphanages.

The Rules
1. All I.G.F.A. rules apply.
2. Released Striped, Blue, Black and
Swordfish only. Striped Marlin one point, Blue and Black Marlin five points
and Swordfish seven points.
3. Prizes will be 1st, 2nd and
3rd based on release points. Angler with most points overall will be
declared Tournament Champion.
4. All hook-ups must be reported to the
Tournament Control: Name of angler, name of boat, time of hook-up, and
grid.
5. TBA shotgun start each day, on a
line from Cape Rock to Gray Rock, not more that 1/2 mile from Cape Rocks.
6. Stop all fishing at designated
times: except for anglers reported hooked-up at the time.
7. All anglers must have a valid Mexican
fishing license, obtainable at the pre-tournament meeting in Cabo San
Lucas. (If your local tackle shop has them it is safer to bring one
down with you.)
8. Any protest must be made to the
Rules Committee. The Rules Committee will be at the anglers meeting to
clarify all questions. Decisions by the Rules Committee are final.
9. All awards will be presented at
the Tournament Banquet.
10. Dad's Trophies, in memory of Charles Faith, Jr. and
Walton Neilson will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place catch of the
largest Tuna, Dorado, or Wahoo
11. All anglers should attend the angler's meeting the night of
registration at 7:00pm.
